“I have chosen the Nursing field because it is one of the most important specializations that works on building and helping the human being and saving souls. It is the basis of life. I love my work. I practice some sports and I always have time to read about the health field and medicine. I seek to have a decent life, develop my skills and gain a large experience. In my country, studies, in nature, are built on the Arabic language, and no big importance was given to the English language. This was a barrier and a difficulty when I wanted to learn this language at an old age. Currently, it is difficult to find enough time because of work commitments. The HEEAP language course within the HOPES project helped me to overcome these barriers through its innovative and simple methodology. The teacher ensured the follow up and I took a language lab and an online course. Language is important because it connects people and gives confidence to its speakers wherever they go. My plans in the future are to have good command of the language, to communicate with other cultures, and to look for an academic scholarship in universities or countries where the English language is spoken. My message to other students is to confront difficulties in order to overcome the challenges and persevere in seeking education, for it is the way to higher levels in life.”
