Progetto Mediterraneo - 2022-2023 Academic year

Online MBA Scholarships for refugees and Lebanese nationals

TheirWorld and the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University are offering 20 Master of Business Administration (MBA) scholarships to refugees living in Lebanon, and disadvantaged Lebanese Nationals. The scholarship will sponsor successful applicants through the Edinburgh Business School’s online MBA programme (2 years) starting in August 2022.  Applicants should: Be proficient in the English Language.Ideally have a bachelor degree.Be aged 25+. The Jusoor-UAB Scholarship

The Jusoor-UAB Scholarship will support up to two master’s level awards for Syrian students who wish to pursue their studies at the University of Autonoma de Barcelona. The scholarship will be to study for a one-year master’s degree for the 2022-2023 school year. The Jusoor – UAB Scholarship will be open to both men and women, with a preference for those who demonstrate financial need and are living either in Syria or a surrounding host country (i.e. Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Iraq, or Egypt). The scholarship will cover tuition fees, living expenses for 12 months, health insurance, and travel costs.   The deadline to apply is March 20th.  How to Apply: Candidates must apply through this online application. all details can be found on the following link:  https://jusoor.ngo/Scholarship/57/The-Jusoor-UAB-Scholarship 

MENA Scholarship Programme

The MENA Scholarship Programme offers Lebanese professional impact makers under 45 years training opportunities at Dutch education institutions in the Netherlands. This scholarship is offered by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the Shiraka programme and is managed by Nuffic. Atlas short-term postdoctoral fellowship 2022

The Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme (FMSH) and the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED) offer short-term fellowships of 2 or 3 months in France for young researchers native from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia and Syria and affiliated to one of the 140 Universities member of UNIMED. This research stay is designed to enable researchers to conduct research studies in France: field enquiries, library and archives work. This call is part of the Atlas short-term postdoctoral mobility programme offered by the FMSH and its partners. MORE INFO Eligibility criteria Nationality: This program is open to researchers originating from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Marocco, Palestine, Tunisia and Syria and affiliated to one of the140 Universities member of UNIMED. Educational Degree: Applicants must have obtained their PhD doctorate and presented their thesis from 2016. There is no age limit. Application procedure Applicants will be required to submit an online application form and a scientific dossier (research project + appendices). The Peter Salama Refugee MPH Scholarship in Humanitarian Health

Master of Public Health (MPH) graduate degree at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH) The Master of Public Health program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH), in partnership with the Johns Hopkins Center for Humanitarian Health, has launched a refugee scholarship program to support one individual who has been displaced due to the conflicts in Afghanistan, Myanmar, Somalia, South Sudan, and Syria. 2021 TWAS-IsDB Young Refugee and Displaced Scientists Programme for Women

The World Academy of Sciences (UNESCO-TWAS) and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) are seeking nominations for the Young Refugee and Displaced Scientists Programme for Women. The deadline for receiving applications is 2 August 2021. The Programme is aimed at supporting talented young female scientists up to around 40 years of age from one of the IsDB member countries and who are currently refugees or displaced. The programme fosters gender equality and supports the participation of displaced women in science.  Candidates selected will be elected as TWAS Young Affiliates. The affiliateship status lasts for six years; in addition, the new Young Affiliates will be granted membership to the prestigious TWAS Young Affiliates Network (TYAN). The American Association of University Women- AAUW’s International Fellowship program USA

AAUW’s International Fellowship program provides support for women pursuing full-time graduate or postdoctoral study in the U.S. who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. A limited number of awards are available for study outside of the U.S. (excluding the applicant’s home country) to women who are members of Graduate Women International (see the list of GWI affiliates). Preference is given to women who show prior commitment to the advancement of women and girls through civic, community, or professional work. Up to five International Fellowships for master’s/first professional degrees will be renewable for a second year; fellows will receive application information for this competitive program during their fellowship year.

Karam Scholars

The Karam Scholars – Jordan application will open in July 2019 for Syrian students, or students displaced from Syria, living in Jordan who are not currently receiving any other scholarship. What does the scholarship cover? The scholarship covers semesterly tuition and registration fees for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at any Jordanian university, in any specialty.

Erasmus+ Online Linguistic Support

The Erasmus+ Online Linguistic Support (OLS) currently offers online language courses in Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, German, Greek, English, Spanish, French, Croatian, Italian, Hungarian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Finnish and Swedish to higher education students, vocational education and training learners and young volunteers taking part in the Erasmus+ programme.

Heriot-Watt University - Syrian Refugee Scholarship

Heriot-Watt University is providing a number of full fees scholarships for Syrian refugees. In addition to funding for fees, recipients will also receive a £1,000 bursary towards their living costs.

The MEXT scholarship for postgraduate studies - Embassy of Japan

The Government of Japan offers scholarship for postgraduate studies for Lebanese nationals under 35 years old, who will have graduated before July 6, 2017. The scholarship program covers all the fields of study at all the Japanese universities and will provide full coverage of tuition and monthly allowance to the students.

Global Insitute of Health and Human rights

The University at Albany’s Global Institute for Health and Human Rights (GIHHR) invites applicants for two 2-year postdoctoral fellowships, with a starting date in Summer 2017. Jami3ti is an online platform to help interested young people find educational opportunities at tertiary and vocational level. It connects the youth with the necessary funding to pursue their education to a higher level. The platform also aims at constructing a dataset where providers of educational opportunities can assess the demand from prospective students.

SPARK- Turkey

SPARK aims to enroll Syrians in higher education, in order to provide them with the skills needed to reconstruct Syria in the long-term and give back to their host communities in the short term. The scholarship grant offers covering student’s tuition fees. Other partial or full student expenses might be subjected depending on curriculum.

German Federal Foreign Office & DAAD Syrian Refugees Scholarship Program for Masters Degree

The German Federal Foreign Office and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in cooperation with Ulm University are announcing 13 scholarship opportunities to young Syrians residing in Egypt registered as refugees through UNHCR to study a two-year Master Program in the fields of Engineering or Management Technology at the German University in Cairo.

Fulbright Egyptian Scholar Program

Fulbright Egyptian Scholar Program provides opportunities for Egyptian post-doctoral faculty members to conduct research at American institutions and for arts management professionals and academics to conduct academic research in the field of arts management. ALL fields are eligible with the EXCEPTION of medical fields including clinical research. 

University of Manchester - The Global Development Institute (GDI)

The Global Development Institute (GDI) is pleased to announce the availability of nine scholarships for overseas applicants, providing full tuition fee waivers for on-campus Masters programmes commencing in September 2017.

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme - TEMPUS PUBLIC FOUNDATION

The programme is based on bilateral educational cooperation agreements signed between the Ministries responsible for education in the sending countries/territories and Hungary or between institutions. In the academic year 2017/2018 approximately 4000 students can begin their studies in Hungary in the framework of the Stipendium Hungaricum Programme. 

Scholarship by the Romanian State to foreign citizens through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Scholarships offered by the Romanian State to foreign citizens through the MFA to 85 scholarships for under- and post-graduate studies in Romania organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research. The candidate should not have a Romanian citizenship. The scholarships are granted for three levels of study.

The MasterCard Foundation program

The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program provides access to secondary and higher education for young people who are committed to giving back to their communities. Through Foundation partners, they receive holistic financial and academic support as they transition from secondary to university education and into the workforce. Youth in Camps programme

NRC courses are developed in consultation with youth and in 2016 included cellphone maintenance, solar panel maintenance, sweets making, tailoring or barber/ beautician.  NRC partners with the ICDL Foundation, Jamiya Project and Luminus Education, to deliver accredited courses in electricity, air conditioning, team leading, or advanced computer skills.

Amideast: MEPI Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship Program

This scholarship offers bright Lebanese and Syrian students a wonderful opportunity to win a 4-year scholarship to study at the American University of Beirut (AUB),  Lebanese American University (LAU) and the American University of Cairo (AUC).  Those who are selected will join the 608 Tomorrow’s Leaders students from throughout the Arab world.  Syrian students who are currently high school seniors or who graduated from high school in 2020 or 2021 are eligible to apply for this program. Lebanese students who are currently high school seniors or who graduated from high school in 2021  are eligible to apply for this program.  Deadline to Apply is Monday, December 6, 2021. SPARK - Iraq

Spark established its presence in Kurdistan Region of Iraq in 2014 to further develop higher education in the region. Spark has organized many activities with the Dutch Consulate in Erbil and Holland House association. In cooperation with the ministry of Higher Education and various university, Spark has made possible access to university for 300 Syrian students. 

The Lebanese Association for Scientific Research - LASeR

The Lebanese Association for Scientific Research LASeR is working to support researchers in Lebanon through a set of programs such as scholarships, exchange programs, conferences and scientific seminars. Through the Syrian students scholarship program 520 students were granted scholarships in various universities in Lebanon.

Scholarship Program for Syrian University Students in Lebanon - Jusoor

The Jusoor Scholarship Program has supported Syrian students in the US, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East through full and partial funding and university partnerships. Students pursue different degree levels and academic fields of study and a number of alumni benefit from mentoring and professional development opportunities.

The Catholic Academic Exchange Service - KAAD

The KAAD supports his scholars in form of scholarships and educational programs and offers spiritual and personal assistance in view of future multiplying functions students will have in their home countries. This is based on cooperation with partner committees and associations of ex-scholars in those countries aiming at setting up (scientific) networks.

Chevening Scholarship

Chevening Scholarships are awarded to individuals with demonstrable leadership potential who also have strong academic backgrounds. The scholarship offers financial support to study for a master’s degree at any UK university and the opportunity to become part of an influential global network of 46,000 alumni. 

SPARK - Jordan

SPARK Jordan offers Bachelor’s degree and vocational training in various subjects of study with relevance to local host community labor market as well as future reconstruction needs for Syria (Engineering, nursing, agribusiness and food processing). The scholarship covers one year of study tuition fees in addition to a monthly stipends.

Jusoor - IIE Scholarship for students in Zaatari camp

Jusoor is proud to partner with the Institute of International Education to provide full scholarships for Syrian university students in Jordan’s Za’atari refugee camp, through the “From Camp to Campus Program.” Selected students will be placed at public universities in Jordan and offered transportation scholarships in addition to full tuition.

Jusoor - Amal Foundation Scholarship

The Jusoor -Amal Foundation Scholarship provides Syrian students in Za’atari Refugee Camp in Jordan with full scholarships to attend Jordanian universities. The scholarship covers tuition until degree completion, and selected students may pursue the degree level and field of study of their choice.

Jesuit Worldwide Learning

The Diploma of 45 semester credits is awarded by Regis University in Denver, Colorado USA, which is regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission in the United States. All credits earned are Regis University credits; they are recorded on an official transcript from the university.

Jamiya Project

The Jamiya Project is currently piloting two 12 week blended (online and in-person tuition) ‘Small Private Online Courses’ (SPOCs, not MOOCs) in Applied IT and Global Studies, delivered in Arabic and certified by University of Gothenburg. These are being delivered in collaboration with a small team of Syrian academics and NGOs in the field.

International Diploma Program - Jusoor

The majority of Syrian students in Jordan have undergone the I’itilaf Tawjihi baccalaureate degree sometimes not recognized by Jordanian universities. Therefore, the students must complete the International Diploma Program and obtain a recognized diploma, the Higher National Diploma. The International Diploma program is accredited internationally by Pearson Edexcel. 

PRESIDENCY FOR TURKS ABROAD AND RELATED COMMUNITIES (YTB) - Harran Scholarship

Harran Scholarship Program is only for the citizens of following countries: Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan, Syria, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Jordan, Palestine and Yemen, Israel. All undergraduate programs, including Medical Sciences, Islamic Studies and Turkish Language and Literature, are offered in this scholarship program.

PRESIDENCY FOR TURKS ABROAD AND RELATED COMMUNITIES (YTB) Ali Kuscu Scholarship

Ali Kuscu Science and Technology Scholarship is designed for students who are willing to study at the fields of science , engineering and technology . This program provides scholarships for Master’s and PhD degree . Ali Kuscu Science and Technology Scholarship program is available for non-Turkish nationals from all countries.
