As HUGO and IGAM, It is utmost important to know current details of the “elite” Syrians in Turkey within three categories such as higher education students, graduates and academics, in order to develop sustainable strategies and policies both for their integration, welfare and employment; and also to make them able to play as the mediator between the Syrian refugees, Turkish society and institutions for the integration policies. The first part of this project was conducted by a cooperation with the British Embassy in Ankara, workshops with Syrian Academics in 4 cities and 490 surveys from 37 different cities were conducted in Turkey. “Elite Dialogue II” project will highlight and identify the problems of the “elite” Syrians, to draw a clear picture of Syrian academics and students who live in Turkey and to let them build their own decisions and suggestions for their future.
“Elite Dialogue II” will focus on the postgraduate students who are studying in the Turkish Universities and the Syrian Academics, to understand their difficulties and to make a subjective suggestion for the Syrian elites in Turkey.
