Certificate Program for Syrian Refugees

Certificate Program for Syrian Refugees

Istanbul Aydin University

Certificate Program for Syrian Refugees project aims to provide displaced Syrian youth in Turkey with job-focused specialized modules in marketing, financial management and computer programming.

The program entails training modules designed in line with the market needs as well as concrete learning outcomes. The project entails 3 different certificate programs (CPs); Marketing Certificate Program, Computer Science Certificate Program and Financial Management Certificate Program. Each program includes training modules, study workshops, and job-focused trainings.

The program targets students that are qualified, but unable to attend a higher educational institution, in order to provide them with the opportunity to gain soft-skills geared towards employment opportunities and to actively engage in a higher education environment that will support their integration to the host community and their academic integration, if they continue their higher education in Turkey.

The project will be coordinated by IAU UNESCO Chair in Cultural Diplomacy, Governance and Education and offline courses will be conducted by Lifelong Learning Education Center at IAU, which is authorized to issue certificates under the regulations of the Council of Higher Education.

Duration of the project: 10 months
