Implementing organisation: Centre for Lebanese Studies at Lebanese American University (LAU)
The project aims to develop the capacity of educators in providing quality teaching and learning for children and young people both refugees from Syria and Lebanese students who attend public schools. It also targets educators and education practitioners in the non-formal sector.
CLS is currently working in partnership with UCL on developing a TPD course that combines face-to-face learning and a MOOC, providing a wider access to a TPD course for teachers and educators in refugee contexts. Our preliminary assessment of the TPD need in Lebanon shows that both in-service teachers and
practitioners in non-formal education sector are keen to attend a certified face-to-face course, which adopts a blended learning model alongside the MOOC.
Duration of the project: 12 months
