EU-funded ”HOPES project” honours graduate students and awards scholarships to Lebanese and Syrian students for academic year 2018-2019 in collaboration with the Lebanese University

On Tuesday December 4, 2018 the HOPES project funded by the European Union’s Regional Trust Fund in response to the Syrian Crisis, the ‘Madad Fund’ and implemented by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) together with the British Council, Campus France and Nuffic organised a HOPES Awarding & Graduation Ceremony in collaboration with the Lebanese University at the French Institute in Beirut.

The ceremony awarded 73 Syrian and Lebanese students with a HOPES scholarship for the academic year 2018-2019 and honoured 31 HOPES students who graduated and completed their Bachelor and Masters degrees. Furthermore, the HOPES project honoured the 244 students who completed their Higher Education English courses within the program as well as all the professors, teachers and students who contributed to the successful collaboration between the EU-funded HOPES project and the Lebanese University.
